Reinhard Philipp

Reinhard Philipp (born April 28, 1925 in Hamburg ; † January 12, 1988 ) was a German politician ( FDP ) and Hamburg senator .

Life

Philipp attended the Johanneum's school for scholars and after graduating from high school in 1943 he joined the Navy . After his return from captivity, he studied German and art history in Hamburg, completed an acting training and then worked as an assistant director and dramaturge, director and teacher at a drama school. From 1961 to 1963 he was artistic director of the Kammerspiele in Neumünster .

politics

Philipp was a member of the FDP, state chairman of the young democrats , district and district chairman and a member of the state executive committee of his party. In 1961 he was elected to the Hamburg parliament for the first time and in 1963 became the managing director of the FDP parliamentary group. In April 1970 he moved into the Senate, where he initially took over the cultural authority and, in early 1971, the newly formed authority for science and art . In this function he was also the Hamburg representative in the voluntary self-regulation of the film industry (FSK), member of the Broadcasting Council of the North German Broadcasting Corporation and in 1972 President of the Conference of Ministers of Education .
