Zaurak (Arabic for "boat") is the name of the star γ (Gamma) Eridani . Zaurak has an apparent magnitude of +3.0 mag and belongs to the spectral class M0.5IIICa-ICr-.

Others

The American warship Hugh Young was renamed after the star Zaurak in 1943 . The ship was decommissioned in 1946 and was awarded the Battle Star For Service during World War II .

The science fiction novel "In the Shine of the Sun Zaurak (1983)" by Michael Szameit is one of the better-known works of the genre in the former GDR .
