Michael Szameit

Michael szameit (* 29. July 1950 in Prießen ; † the thirtieth May 2014 ) was a German science fiction - writers and publishers .

Life

Szameit learned the profession of electromechanic and later began studying physics , which he had to abandon for health reasons. He then worked in various film and television professions and eventually became the head of a recording studio in a film studio. From 1981 to 1984 he was an editor at the Neues Leben publishing house , and then a freelance writer. He later worked in Hamburg as an editor and journalist for the fishing magazine Blinker .

His first stories were published in 1976, his first novel Alarm im Tunnel Transterra then in 1982 in the series Exciting told by Verlag Neues Leben .

According to a survey published in the SFC Andymon Clubfanzine Transfer in 1990 , he was one of the four most popular science fiction authors in the GDR .
