Excitingly told

One of the most popular book series in the GDR from the Neues Leben in Berlin publishing house was told in an exciting way .

The books in the series were aimed primarily at young people. They initially appeared in half-linen with a dust jacket and later in bound format without a dust jacket and were illustrated. There are both new releases and re-releases and translations published.

Edition history

The series appeared from 1953 to 1991 and was then discontinued due to the liquidation of the publishing house, which only revived in 2004 within the Eulenspiegel publishing group . The name of the initially unnumbered series was Das neue Abenteuer. Excitingly told . (The series should not, however, be confused with the book series Das neue Abenteuer Rund um die Welt from Kinderbuchverlag Berlin or the booklet series Das neue Abenteuer .) With the 21st volume, the intent The new adventure was omitted. The numbers were added later, also retrospectively for all subsequent editions. About six new books appeared each year, plus a varying number of later editions.

The series was continued at the beginning of 2005. In addition to volumes already published in the old series, titles are also to be published that appeared in other book series of the publisher up to 1991. The first titles appeared in soft cover.
