Ralf Alex Fichtner

Ralf Alex Fichtner (born May 31, 1952 in Aue (Saxony) ) is a German caricaturist , cartoonist , illustrator, painter and author .

Life

Fichtner, who comes from the district town of Aue in the Saxon Ore Mountains , attended the Bertolt Brecht Extended Secondary School in Schwarzenberg / Erzgeb. , where he graduated from high school and now lives as a freelance artist.

After his successes abroad, his works appeared for the first time in 1980 in the GDR satire magazine Eulenspiegel , which he labeled with the RAF sign , which soon caused a sensation, not just among the GDR security operations. In 1984 he became a member of the Association of Visual Artists of the GDR , to which he belonged until its dissolution.

In 1988 Fichtner ventured into self-employment as a freelance artist. Since that time he has designed around 30 personal exhibitions. Many of his works also appeared in the high-circulation daily newspaper Freie Presse . He is not only active as a caricaturist and painter, but also as an illustrator and author, especially of children's and crime literature.
