Ruvim frayerman , Russian Рувим Исаевич Фраерман (born September 10 . Jul / 22. September  1891 greg. In Mogilev , Russian Empire ; † 28. March 1972 in Moscow , Soviet Union ), was a Soviet writer .

Life

Ruwim Issajewitsch Frajerman was born in 1891 as the son of a poor Jewish family in what is now the Belarusian city of Mahiljou. He graduated from secondary school in 1915 and studied from 1916 at the National Technical University "Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute" . He worked as an accountant, teacher and fisherman. With the outbreak of the Russian Revolution , Frajerman joined the partisans and fought in eastern Russia during the Russian Civil War . He later traveled through Siberia as a communist commissioner to oversee the implementation of Bolshevism . He then settled in the city of Yakutsk and became a journalist for a local newspaper.

The politician and journalist Jemeljan Michailowitsch Jaroslawski later invited him to co-found the literary magazine Sibirskiye Ogni , in which he published his first short novella in 1924 with Огнёвка . More short stories followed before he made his debut novel with Вторая весна in 1932 . From then on he wrote mainly youth literature and associated with other writers, such as Konstantin Georgijewitsch Paustowski and Arkadi Petrovich Gaidar . He had his greatest success in 1939 with Дикая собака Динго, или Повесть о первой любви (Dikaya Sobaka Dingo ili Povest o Pervoy Lyubv). The story of Tanja, who experienced her first love, became a national bestseller and was filmed in 1962 by Juli Karasik under the title of the same name. A year later, on May 3, 1963, it was released in East German cinemas under the title Das Mädchen Tanja and in West German cinemas under the title Love at 16 .

When the Soviet Union entered World War II , Frajerman voluntarily joined the Red Army and served as a war correspondent in the eighth regiment in the 22nd division. In January 1942 he was seriously injured and released back into civilian life.
