Horst Czerny

Horst Czerny (born August 20, 1926 in Ratibor , Upper Silesia , † October 11, 1996 in Berlin-Lichtenberg ) was a German journalist and writer .

Life

Horst Czerny worked in the 1950s as an editor for the Straubinger edition of the SPD - Newspaper Regensburg week . After he had lost several lawsuits that had been brought against the newspaper, Czerny fled to the GDR , where he worked as a freelance writer. Czerny published novels and books for young people as well as several non-fiction books on the history of polar research .
