Zawisch von Nechanitz

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Zawisch von Nechanitz (Czech Záviš z Nechanic ; * before 1216; † 1257 or later) was sub-chamberlain of the Bohemian King Wenceslaus I. He came from the Bohemian noble family of the Witigones .

Life

Zawisch is documented for the years 1216 to 1257. His father was Witiko II. (Also Witiko the Elder ; Czech Vítek II., Also Vítek starší ), who founded the Witigon family branch of the Lords of Krumlov . Zawisch's mother is not known by name. His nickname is derived from the East Bohemian festivals and the homonymous village of Nechanice , which he owned.

Zawisch was in royal service and was sub-chamberlain of King Wenceslaus I from 1233 to 1236. His sons Budiwoj and Vitiko are also recorded at the royal court for these years. Presumably because of a dispute between the Bohemian king and Emperor Friedrich II over the inheritance of the Babenbergs , the Witigones had to leave the royal palace temporarily. They did not return until after 1242.

family

Zawisch von Nechanitz, whose wife is not known by name, left the sons:

  • Budiwoj von Krumau (also Budiwoj von Krumau, Skalitz and Sepekau ; Czech Budivoj z Krumlova ; also Budivoj z Krumlova, ze Skalice a ze Sepekova ); occupied 1220-1272. He was married to Perchta von Falkenstein .
