Zbigniew Krasiński

Zbigniew Krasiński (* 1938 ) is a Polish zoologist who specializes in wildlife diseases. He has been working as a researcher at the Białowieża National Park since 1961 and is concerned with the biology, ecology and health of bison . He is the author of several reports on the breeding and protection of bison and co-author of the international strategy for the protection and re-breeding of this critically endangered species. He is a member of the IUCN / SSc Bison Specialist Group .

He is married to Dr. Małgorzata Krasińska , his early fellow student, who heads the bison ecology group at the Institute for Mammalian Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences .
