Zbigniew Wodecki
Zbigniew Stanisław Wodecki (born May 6, 1950 in Kraków or Łaziska , † May 22, 2017 in Warsaw ) was a Polish singer, composer, multi-instrumentalist and actor.
Live and act
Some sources give Zbigniew Wodecki's place of birth as Łaziska near Godów , others as Kraków. His father, Józef Wodecki, was a trumpeter in a radio symphony orchestra. Zbigniew began learning music at the age of five. He graduated from the Władysław Żeleński State Music School in Kraków ( Państwowa Szkoła Muzyczna II st. Im. W. Żeleńskiego ).
Between 1968 and 1973 he accompanied Ewa Demarczyk . In 1973 he made his debut as a singer at the 10th National Festival of Polish Song . In Poland he is known for the songs Zacznij od Bacha (Beginning with Bach) , Lubię wracać tam, gdzie byłem (I like to come back to where I have been) , Opowiadaj mi tak (tell me) , Z Tobą chcę oglądać świat (I want to see the world with you) , Chałupy welcome to and Izolda . He also interpreted the Polish version of Maya the Bee . His album The Best - Zacznij od Bacha was honored with a double platinum record in Poland and the albums Złota koleKcja - Zacznij od Bacha , Dobrze, że jesteś and 1976: A Space Odyssey with platinum.
On June 30, 1971, he married Krystyna Wodecka, with whom he had three children.
Wodecki died of a stroke in Warsaw on May 22, 2017, and was buried in the Rakowicki Cemetery on May 29 .
