Zdzisław Nitka , (* 1962 in Oborniki Śląskie , Poland ) is an expressionist painter , graphic artist and wood cutter . From 1982 he studied painting and graphics at the Breslau Art Academy , where he now teaches as a professor.

His art is closely linked to German Expressionism, for example with Otto Mueller , who lived in what was then Obernigk and died there in 1930, or with Ernst Ludwig Kirchner , whose work Nitka has dealt with on a long-term basis. In addition, influences of contemporary painters such as Georg Baselitz can be proven. His works, which have received numerous awards, can be found in almost all national museums in Poland. He has exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions, both in his home country and in Germany.
