The Neu-Hattingen colliery is a former hard coal mine in Hattingen , it was located northeast of the city center. The mine was also in operation under the name Zeche Neue Hattingen . The mine was part of the Dahlhausen mining district .

Mining history

In 1780 the prospect of mining in a disused tunnel was introduced. The tunnel had already been dismantled several years before the prospect, later the tunnel was closed again and fell into disrepair. After the presumption of the tunnel was aufgewältigt . After 44 meters in a cross-cutting direction, a seam was hit. Then the tunnel was further south ascended . The plan was to drive the tunnel over a length of 1,255 meters. The first award was made in 1781 . The tunnel was driven further south. Minor dismantling has already taken place this year. From the year 1782 the mine was demonstrably in operation. In 1839, which included Berechtsame a length field . In 1848 the Neu-Hattingen colliery consolidated with the muted field Werner. The Längenfeld Neu-Hattingen was awarded on October 9, 1849. From the 4th quarter of 1861 the mine was out of order. In 1865 the mine was put back into operation. Across seam No. 9 they wanted to support the extraction of a spate iron stone seam by the Stolberg I. colliery. In 1867, 143 tons of hard coal were mined. In 1869 a shaft was in operation. In 1870, 34 tons of hard coal were extracted with seven miners , and in the course of the year the Neu-Hattingen colliery was shut down. In 1910 the rightful owner was taken over by Carl Friedrich's Erbstollen.
