The Neue Steinkuhle colliery is a former hard coal mine in Heven . The mine was also known under the names Zeche Neue Steinkuhl and Zeche Neuesteinkuhle .

Mining history

On April 15, 1783, the suspicion was given to a mine field. Following this, one has tunnels to the seam ascended . The tunnel reached a length of 15 meters. A length field was awarded on May 2, 1789 . There is evidence that the mine was in operation in 1793. After that, it must have been out of service for a while, as the mine was not reported again until February 1832. In the following years, hard coal was extracted from the mine . In 1844 the mine was in the depth of Erbstollensohle of Helena Erbstolln aligned . In the following year, dull weather occurred in place No. 1 to the east . The place was still 6.5 Lachter further ascended . In March 1847 the Neue Steinkuhle colliery was shut down. The tunnel then fell into disrepair and was cleared again in 1855 by the Roman mine .

Promotion and workforce

The first known production figures come from 1832, when 3201 bushels of hard coal were produced. In 1835, 38,020 bushels of hard coal were extracted. The maximum production comes from the year 1837, at that time a production of 14,034 ¾ Prussian tons of hard coal was provided. In 1840 2,207 ¾ Prussian tons of hard coal were mined. In 1845, 5692 bushels of hard coal were mined. The first known workforce figures come from the year 1846, in that year the workforce fluctuated between one and nine miners . The last known production figures for the mine also come from this year: 3784 bushels of hard coal were produced.
