Zeinab Camara or Zénab Camara (born January 27, 1981 in Conakry ) is a Guinean politician . She is head of the cabinet of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the Republic of Guinea and founding president of Les femmes dans l'industrie minière. She is an activist for youth advancement and women's engagement.

Life

Camara holds a BA in International Relations from De Montfort University and an MA in Strategic Public Management from the University of Leicester , England, where she worked in the public sector as a program coordinator in the National Health Service before returning to Guinea in 2009 to join the ministry to work for decentralization and local development. She then served as technical advisor to the President's Chief of Staff before joining the multinational Rio Tinto Group and serving on the boards of Africa 2.0 and the Guinea Mining Club.

On June 7, 2016, she was appointed to the Alpha Condé cabinet and became head of cabinet at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Guinea.

social commitment

In March 2014 she founded Les femmes dans l'industrie minière (women in the mining industry) and during the Ebola period mobilized USD 3 million for logistics and financial support for communities, the state and development actors.

She is president of the NGO youth leadership for the development of Boffa and mentor of the J-Awards Guinea.

In 2017 she founded the Fatala Football Club de Boffa to help the youngest boys and girls develop through football.

  • Prize for the best female hopefuls at the night of outstanding performance by the communication group Gnouma in its 14th edition.
  • 2014 Award for excellent performance by the women's advancement network (together with Adèle Camara )
