Leonard Greene

Leonard "Lenny" Greene (born February 10, 1980 in Darmstadt ) is a former German American football player.

career

Greene, a cousin of Pascal Ritzheim , played with the Darmstadt Diamonds , then with the Rüsselsheim Razorbacks , in 2005 he made the jump to the NFL Europe , in which he was under contract with the Cologne Centurions in 2005 . In 2007 he was a Frankfurt Galaxy player in the same league , in the Bundesliga he won the German championship title with the Braunschweig Lions in the same year.

After a detour to the US team Arkansas Twister ( AF2 ), Greene , who was used as cornerback , wide receiver , safety and kick returner , switched to the Kiel Baltic Hurricanes in 2008 . In 2008 and 2009 he was German runner-up with the Fördestädtern, and in 2010 he won the German championship title under head coach Patrick Esume . In the same year Greene became European champion with the German national team. In 2011 he played for the Mönchengladbach Mavericks , with the national team he also took part in the 2011 World Cup and finished fifth. In the 2012 season, Greene was back in Brunswick's service.

For the 2013 season, Greene returned to Kiel. In 2014 Greene became European champions for the second time with Germany. Following the 2014 season, he moved from northern Germany to Saarland, where he joined the Saarland Hurricanes after an engagement with the Cologne Falcons was canceled due to the team's withdrawal.
