The magazine for New Testament science and the news of the older church ( ZNW ) is a German, English and French language periodical that has been published since 1900 . European Science Foundation ranking A. It deals with theological, linguistic and historical problems of the New Testament and the history of the old church ( patristic ).

The magazine is published by Matthias Konradt and appears twice (previously four times) a year by Walter de Gruyter as a print version and an Internet version ( ISSN  1613-009X ). The ZNW was founded by Erwin Preuschen . Other editors included Michael Wolter , Erich Gräßer , Günter Klein , Eduard Lohse and Martin Tetz . In addition to German articles, articles in English and French are also published. The magazine also provides an overview of newer books and magazines.

In addition to the magazine itself, there is a series of supplements to the magazine for New Testament Science and Customers of the Older Church ( BZNW ), in which monographs are published. A sister publication of the ZNW is the older journal for Old Testament science .
