Zeljko (storm)
Zeljko was a storm that swept across Central Europe on July 24, 2015 and sometimes caused severe damage. Two people died as a result of the storm.

The deep Zeljko moved with hurricane gusts from the North Sea over Germany and neighboring countries. Then the low moved towards Sweden . The DWD had warned of gale-force gusts of around 110 km / h. Zeljko finally reached up to 100 km / h in the area.
On the Brocken in the Harz Mountains, it stormed at the top of the storm at 158 km / h.
consequences
In the Netherlands , a person died when a tree fell on his car. In Slovakia , a woman died in lightning. Several other people were injured. In the Netherlands, motorways were closed, rail traffic blocked and flights were canceled at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol .
In North Rhine-Westphalia , the fire brigade and rescue workers went on more than 1100 missions. Twelve people were injured there by the effects of the storm.
