Zervochoria ( Greek Ζερβοχώρια , ( f. Sg. )); official name Dimotiki Enotita Zervochorion, (Δημοτική Ενότητα Ζερβοχωρίων) is one of the four municipal districts of the municipality of Polygyros on the Chalkidiki peninsula in the Greek region of Central Macedonia . The name of the municipality is derived from the historical collective name of the villages in the area: the 'Zervo villages' (Zervochoria). It was created in 1997 as an independent municipality through the amalgamation of five municipalities, their administrative seat was in the village of Paleochora .
