Zhang Fei Temple (Langzhong)
The Zhang Fei Temple ( Chinese 张飞庙 , Pinyin Zhāng Fēi Miào , English Zhang Fei Temple ) or ancestral temple of Margrave Zhang of Huan ( 张 桓侯 祠 , Zhang Huanhou ci ) in Langzhong ( 阆中市 ) on Jialing Jiang in the southwestern Chinese province Sichuan was established in honor of the Shu Han general Zhang Fei , a Chinese military leader of the Three Kingdoms Period (220–280), one of Shu Han’s Five Tiger Generals and brother in arms of Liu Bei and Guan Yu . Zhang Fei is buried here. The temple looks back on a history of over 1,700 years. The current buildings date from the Ming and Qing dynasties . The temple has been on the List of Monuments of the People's Republic of China (4-158) since 1996 .
