The district-free city of Langzhong ( 阆中市 , Lángzhōng Shì ) belongs to the administrative area of ​​the district-free city of Nanchong in the northeast of the southwest Chinese province of Sichuan . It has an area of ​​1,877 square kilometers and has a population of around 860,000 (2004).

The ancestral temple of Zhang Fei (张 桓侯 祠, Zhāng Huánhóu cí), the Yong'an temple of Langzhong (阆中 永安 寺, Lángzhōng Yǒng'ān sì) and the Wenchang pavilion of the Wulong temple (五 龙庙 文昌阁, Wǔlóng miào Wénchāng gé) are on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China .

Administrative structure

At the community level, the independent city is made up of four street districts , 25 large communities and 21 communities (one of which is Hui ).
