Zhao Jing (musician)

Zhao Jing ( Chinese  赵静 , Pinyin Zhào Jìng ; * 1978 in Beijing ) is a Chinese cellist.

Zhao began playing the cello at the age of five. In 1996, at the suggestion of the Japanese cellist Ryosuke Hori, she began her studies at Tokyo College of Music and continued in 2002 and at the Karajan Academy in Berlin. Her teachings include Georg Faust and Mario Brunelli. After she passed her artistic school leaving examination, she continued studying with David Geringas at the "Hanns Eisler" University of Music in Berlin. In 2005 she won first prize at the International ARD Competition in Munich. Concerts with conductors such as Seiji Ozawa , Claudio Abbado and Riccardo Muti followed, and in 2007 an invitation to the Schwetzingen Festival . Jin Zhao is now an internationally sought-after soloist with orchestras and as a chamber music partner.
