Zheng Guogu

Zheng Guogu (* 1970 in Yangjiang ) is a Chinese artist.

Life

Zheng was born in 1970 as the son of an instrument maker and musician in Yangjiang and studied at the University of the Arts in Guangzhou . He works with photography, installation, painting and sculpture. Modern China and its society is one of his favorite subjects. Often his works are mixed with calligraphic characters. He often arranges photographs like a storyboard . His works can be found in important collections such as the collection of Charles Saatchi. In 2007 he took part in documenta 12 .

Zheng lives and works in Yangjiang.
