Tuczępy [ tuˈt͡ʃɛmpɨ ] is a village in the powiat Buski of the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship in Poland . It is the seat of the rural municipality of the same name and is located about 49 km southeast of Kielce and 21 km east of the district town of Busko-Zdrój .

history

The place is first mentioned in the 12th century. The place was destroyed during the Tatar invasion and looted during the Swedish Flood . The Kołłątaj family settled in Nieciesławice in the 18th century and Hugo Kołłątaj , an enlightener, spent his youth here.

In 1795 Tuczępy fell to Austria with the Third Partition of Poland . In 1809 it came to the Duchy of Warsaw and in 1815 to the Kingdom of Poland . After the end of the First World War , the place came back to the newly formed Poland .

Attractions

  • The single-nave baroque church of John the Baptist (Jana Chrzciciela) from 1666 to 1674 in Tuczępy.
  • The former estate from around 1930, now the seat of the municipal administration.
