Zhuo Lin ( Chinese  卓琳 , Pinyin Zhuó Lín , W.-G. Chuo Lin ; born April 6, 1916 in Yunnan Province , Republic of China ; † July 29, 2009 in Beijing , People's Republic of China ) was Deng Xiaoping's third wife .

Zhuo Lin was the daughter of an industrialist and joined the Chinese Communist Party in 1938 . The following year, she married Deng in front of Mao's cave dwelling in Yan'an . She had five children, three daughters Deng Lin, Deng Nan and Deng Rong , and sons Deng Pufang and Deng Zhifang.
