The Zireiner See is a 4 hectare mountain lake at 1799 m above sea level. A. in the Brandenberg Alps in Tyrol in the municipality of Münster . It lies between the Rosskogel ( 1940 m above sea level ) in the east and the Rofanspitze in the west in the Mulde, which on the north side of the foothills of the Marchspitze ( 2004 m above sea level ) and in the south of the Latschberg ( 1949 m above sea level). A. ) is formed. A spring feeds the lake at the western end.
The lake can be reached in an hour from the Sonnwendjochbahn mountain station. The European long-distance hiking trail E4 touches the Zireiner See on its stage between Steinberg am Rofan and Maurach .
