The Cistercian Abbey of Goujon (also: Goion ) was a monastery of the Cistercian women in Auradé , Département Gers , Occitanie region , in France from 1165 to 1454 .

history

The former Premonstratensian Abbey Case-Dieu (Latin: Casa Dei ), founded in 1135 in Beaumarchés (17 kilometers northeast of Maubourguet ), founded a subsidiary monastery in Auradé (8 kilometers south of L'Isle-Jourdain ), not far from the source of the Aussonnelle in the forest of Goujon , before 1150 . In 1165 the Premonstratensians left the place that was settled by the Cistercian Abbey of Fabas . In 1454 Goujon monastery was abandoned. The property went to Gimont Monastery (also: Planselve ). The remaining nuns withdrew to the Bastide Saint-Sauvy (northwest of Gimont ) founded by the monastery .
