Zlatý slavík
The Zlatý slavík ( German : "Golden Nightingale") was a Czechoslovak music competition, which was announced by the popular magazine Mladý svět . The readers' prize was awarded for the first time in 1962. The award was broadcast on Czechoslovak television. It existed until the collapse of Czechoslovakia in 1992. In the Czech Republic it was continued with the Český slavík (German: "Czech nightingale"). The Slávik Award has been presented in Slovakia since 1998 .
The record winner is Karel Gott, who had won the award a total of 22 times before he was hired. The singers Hana Zagorová with nine and Naďa Urbánková with five awards were obviously very popular.
