Zmago Šmitek
Zmago Šmitek (born November 29, 1949 in Kropa ; † before or on September 18, 2018 ) was a Slovenian ethnologist .
Life
Zmago Šmitek studied ethnology and art history at the University of Ljubljana , where he received his doctorate in 1983 . From 1973 he worked at the Department of Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology at the University of Ljubljana; Since 1995 he has been a full professor of ethnology with a focus on Asia and religious anthropology .
Awards
He received the Kajuh Prize in 1987 and the Murko Prize in 2005 for two of his books .
