Zsigmond Deáky

Zsigmond Deáky (baptized May 15, 1795 in Himod , Hungary , † December 29, 1872 in Győr ) was a Hungarian clergyman and auxiliary bishop in Győr .

Life

The ordination received Zsigmond Deaky on 7 December 1819. After studying at the Roman University La Sapienza was he on April 9, 1823 to the doctor of theology and philosophy doctorate . In April 1835 he entered the service of the Curia , but does not appear to have held any office there.

Pope Gregory XVI appointed him on January 7, 1836 abbot of the monastery of St. Peter and Paul in Kács . On July 12, 1841, Zsigmond Deáky was appointed titular bishop of Caesaropolis and auxiliary bishop in Győr. He received his episcopal ordination on August 24th of the same year in the Cathedral of San Martino in Lucca , the consecrators are not known. Between 1850 and 1867 he appeared as a co-consecrator of several Hungarian bishops.
