A cultivated plant is a plant which, through human intervention, is cultivated, cultivated and cultivated in a targeted manner as a useful or ornamental plant .

A crop variety that is different from other, related species based on morphological , physiological , cytological , chemical differs or other characteristics, is also called cultural variety or cultivar . The difference is the rank in the international code of the nomenclature of cultivated plants , which regulates the uniform naming of cultivated plant varieties.

In contrast to wild plants, cultivated plants show typical changes. For example, the dormancy of the mature seeds may be reduced. In the case of cereals, the seeds to be harvested later do not fall out of their seat as quickly. Some cultivated plants such as some citrus fruits no longer form seeds at all. A huge growth compared to the wild plant is also typical for most cultivated plants.
