The Zug passenger ship is operated by the Zugersee Schifffahrt on Lake Zug in central Switzerland . In Kiel the ship in 2002 when was laid Austrian shipyard based in Linz on the Danube . The launch took place in 2003. The train was put into service on May 2, 2003 .

history

The first steamship company was founded for Lake Zug in 1851, and a year later the first paddle steamer, the Rigi, drove on Lake Zug. In 1897 the steamship company for Lake Zug was founded. The Zugerland Verkehrsbetriebe ZVB took over the management in 1949. In 1960 the company was renamed Schifffahrtsgesellschaft für den Zugersee AG (SGZ). It still operates under this name today.

The train is the most modern ship in the fleet. It has three decks that can accommodate up to 450 people. The passenger ship Zug was designed as a modern event ship that meets all the requirements of a professional event location.

The train is powered by two MAN D 2866 LXE 42 6-cylinder diesel engines with 295 kW each via a Schottel SRP 170 rudder propeller . The ship's top speed is 27 km / h. A Scania 1 × 233 kVA, 380/220 volts is available for power supply on board.
