Zukriegel Island is a 1.5 km long island in the Biscoe Islands archipelago west of the Antarctic Peninsula . It is located between Rabot Island and the Hennessy Islands .
It was first precisely recorded on an Argentine map from 1957. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1959 after the Czechoslovak geographer Josef Zukriegel (1889–1945), who had studied sea ice .
