The Rabot Island is an 8 km long and 3.2 km wide island in the archipelago of Biscoe Islands west of the Antarctic Peninsula . It is 1.6 km southeast of Renaud Island , from which it is separated by the Rodman Passage .
The British whaler John Biscoe discovered them in 1832. Scientists of the 1908 fifth French Antarctic expedition led by polar explorer Jean-Baptiste Charcot mapped them. Charcot named the islands after the French geographer Charles Rabot (1856–1944).
