history

Behind Zwakkelmann is singer and songwriter Schlaffke Wolff (Hamminkeln, North Rhine-Westphalia), previously a singer in the punk rock band sphincter , which existed from 1983 to 2000 and was successful in the independent field. The first public Zwakkelmann appearance took place in 2003. Zwakkelmann make short, melodic songs with mostly catchy vocal harmonies, stanzas and refrains. Their sound moves in the genres of punk, rock, indie pop, chanson and sixties beat. The band names the Ramones , Die Ärzte , The Clash , The Beatles , The Beach Boys , Nirvana , Trio , Johnny Cash and the early Udo Jürgens as influences . Zwakkelmann's best-known titles to date are "Tomato Red Hair", "My Neighbor Is Hanging On The Bottle Again", "Fender Stratocaster", "Yes, Maybe I'm Antisocial", "Dusselige Kuh" and "Mann ohne Fanko".
