Two-way cable television

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

As a two-way cable television ( ZWKF ) is called a broadband dialogue system in which the cable network (eg. As by coaxial cable , fiber optic cable , and changes in the cable head ) is made back channel.

Two-way cable television can be seen as an intermediate step on the way to broadband communication and represents a possible extension of unidirectional cable television .

Two-way cable television requires broadband switching networks or the telecommunications network must be used for the return channel . Such a solution was chosen with the d-box at DF1 and Premiere , as well as currently with the hard disk recorder at Sky Deutschland . Most cable networks are now already back channel capable.
