The dwarf wrasse ( Pseudocheilini) are a tribe of the wrasse (Labridae). They are only 6 to 12 inches long.

features

Cirrhilabrus - and Paracheilinus - species live in harem groups of one male and several females like the Anthias in the open water on reef slopes and hunt zooplankton . In these marine fish the sexes differ in color. The males of Paracheilinus also have enlarged fins or flag-like appendages on the fins. Pseudocheilinus species such as the six- lined wrasse ( Pseudocheilinus hexataenia ) and the eight-lined wrasse ( Pseudocheilinus octotaenia ) live hidden among the corals and hunt small crustaceans in crevices and spaces.

Genera

Pseudocheilinus octotaenia
Pteragogus cf. cryptus
