The Zwieselalm , formerly also the Zwieselalpe , is a pasture area in the Salzkammergut in Austria at an altitude of between 1300 and 1500 meters . It is located south of the Gschütt Pass , between Gosau ( Upper Austria ) and Abtenau or Annaberg-Lungötz Lammertal ( State of Salzburg ). The summit is the Zwieselalmhöhe at 1587  m above sea level. The Zwieselalm is a dolomite dome and forms a northern branch of the Gosaukamm ( Donnerkogel 2055  m ). The alpine pastures also include the Riedlkaralm ( 1371  m ) on the Annaberg side, Großedtalm ( 1340  m ) and Kleinedtalm ( 1348  m ) towards Abtenau / Rußbach, followed by the Breiningalm to the north .

The Zwieselalm is part of the Dachstein-West ski area . The Gosaukammbahn leads from the Vorderen Gosausee (Upper Austria) to the Zwieselalm. The Zwieselalmhütte is 1436  m above sea level. A. , on the Zwieselalmhöhe the Sonnenalm . The Gablonzer Hütte (OeAV) also provides accommodation .
