Founded on August 16, 1989, the company quickly gained in importance. In addition to the headquarters in Taiwan, Zyxel has branches in Denmark , Germany , France , the Netherlands , Norway , Sweden , USA , United Kingdom , the People's Republic of China , in Eastern Europe and other countries.
Zyxel employs more than 1,500 people worldwide, around 25 percent of whom work in research and development . In addition, Zyxel reinvests approximately 6 percent of annual sales in this area.
