Zygmunt Apostoł

Zygmunt Apostoł (born June 5, 1931 in Katowice , Poland ; † August 6, 2018 in Wiesbaden ) was a Polish film, television and theater actor who also appeared as a singer and pianist as well as composed hits and from 1980 until his death in Wiesbaden lived and worked.

Life

Apostoł attended music high school in the piano class in his hometown . From 1955 to 1958 he worked at the Teatr Satyry and Rozmaitości in Katowice and then for two years at the Silesian Operetta in Gliwice . In 1960 he passed the external examination as an actor. From 1960 he first went to the Teatr Estrada in Stettin and to the operetta and opera in the same city, where he received the Amber Ring in 1967 . From 1968 to 1979 he worked at the Operetka Warszawska . From there he went on a tour to the USA in 1978and in 1979 as part of the cultural exchange to the Federal Republic of Germany, where he first worked at the theater in Neuss .

In 1980, Apostoł received an engagement at the Wiesbaden State Theater , where he regularly appeared on stage until the end of the 2013/2014 season, not only with his successful pieces such as Josef Bieder's Star Hours or The Tower . After Uwe Eric Laufenberg took over the management of the Staatstheater Wiesbaden in the 2014/15 season, Apostoł was no longer listed as a member of the ensemble on the theater's website, nor did he appear in the cast lists.

Apostoł died on August 6, 2018 in Wiesbaden after a long illness.
