Cylinder quarter
The cylinder quarter is a name for a Hamburg residential quarter that is located in the Lokstedt district in the Eimsbüttel district . It is located between the Grandweg and the Lokstedter Steindamm .
The former village of Lokstedt was the first village in Germany with electric street lighting in 1891, which is why many villas were built there. Today, new buildings there are subject to strict criteria in order to maintain the character of the district.

At the Siemersplatz bus stop, which is the closest for residents of Bei der Lutherbuche , lines 22 and X22 also go to the Hagenbecks Tierpark underground station in the direction of Stellingen, Blankenese, Jenfeld and to the Kellinghusenstraße underground station . There is also line 392 to Teufelsbrück and Ohlsdorf.
The Behrmannplatz bus stop is also near the street Bei der Lutherbuche , where the above-mentioned lines run except for the X22 and 5.

There is a football pitch in Döhrntwiete and SC Victoria and ETV have sports halls and sports fields in the immediate vicinity of the plane tree avenue.
The DAV climbing center is located in Döhrnstraße and a sports hall for the Lokstedt gymnastics club is located in Döhrntwiete.
