Bundesstrasse 313
The federal road 313 (abbreviation: B 313 ) connects the B 10 near Plochingen with Lake Constance near Stockach .
course
The federal road 313 branches off from the federal road 10 at Plochingen , then crosses the A 8 at Wendlingen , the B 297 in Nürtingen and joins the B 312 at Metzingen . Together with this and the B 28 it leads to Reutlingen . There the federal road 28 branches off towards Tübingen and the B 313 leads through the Echaztal up to Engstingen . There the B 312 branches off and the B 313 continues over the Swabian Alb . Between Gammertingen and Sigmaringen , where it crosses the Danube , it runs together with the B 32 . It shares the Meßkirch bypass with the B 311 , but then branches off to the south, leads through Stockach , and ends where it joins the B 34 in Espasingen .
history
origin
The road from Stockach to Meßkirch was expanded into a Chaussee as early as 1765 . The subsequent section from Meßkirch to Sigmaringen was also expanded into a paved artificial road between 1769 and 1770.
The road from Großengstingen to Gammertingen was built as Vicinalstraße from 1822 and was about to be completed in 1824. In 1861 it was included in the circle of state roads and henceforth referred to as Württemberg State Road No. 73 .
Previous routes and names
The directory of rural roads in Baden dated July 1, 1901 divides today's federal road 313 into two different sections:
- The Baden state road No. 62 between Schaffhausen and Ulm ran 31 km over Baden territory.
- The Baden state road No. 63 led from Meßkirch to Sigmaringen.
On the Württemberg side there were the following sections in 1886:
- The Württemberg state road No. 71 led from Metzingen to Reutlingen.
- The Württemberg state road no. 72 led from Reutlingen to Riedlingen.
- The Württemberg state road No. 73 led from Gammertingen to Großengstingen.
The national highway 313 was introduced to the 1937th
Four-lane expansion of the B 313
The section between the B 10 near Plochingen and Nürtingen has four lanes similar to a motorway. The section between the Wendlingen ( A 8 ) junction and Nürtingen was released on December 9, 2008. Since March 1, 2010, a maximum speed of 80 km / h for cars and 60 km / h for trucks has been in force on the section between the Plochinger Dreieck and Autobahn 8. Previously, this section in the direction of Stuttgart was unlimited, in the direction of Wendlingen (junction with the A 8) it was limited to 100 km / h.
Further expansion
On July 29, 2016, the construction of the Grafenberg bypass began. After the construction of the 1.7 kilometer long route, the route between Metzingen and Nürtingen will be free of through traffic.
B 313 Ast (connection A 98 - Stockach West)
So far, the motorway connection A 98 - Stockach West in the direction of Überlingen was established via the K 6165. The massive truck traffic for the adjacent industrial area Stockach-Hart and for the hinterland towards Sigmaringen and Ulm has massively damaged this district road section. That is why the federal government has taken over this section between the actual B 313 and the motorway junction and upgraded it to the “B 313 Ast”. Refurbishment and upgrading will take place between October and December 2019.
