Griffon Motors was a British manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Barrie Comery, who previously for Spartan Cars worked, and John Todkill founded in 1985, the company in Underwood in the county of Nottinghamshire . They started making automobiles and kits . The brand name was Griffon . Production ended in 1989. A total of about 120 copies were made.

The only model was the 110 Delux . It was a 1930s-style roadster , according to a source with a resemblance to the Merlin . A ladder frame formed the basis. An open body made of fiberglass was mounted on top. The four-cylinder engine usually came from the Vauxhall Viva , in exceptional cases from Ford . A four-seat version was at least planned.
