Shark Buggy Shop was a British manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

1970 Derry Treacy founded the company in London district Wembley and began production of cars and kits . The brand name was Shark . There was a factory in Cricklewood for the production of complete vehicles . In 1971 the company moved to Staples Corner. In 1972 brother Barry Treacy took over production in his company Woolferace Wheels . Production ended in the same year. A total of about 302 copies were made.

The most popular model was a VW buggy . It was similar to the GP buggies , but the front was designed differently. The basis was a shortened chassis from the VW Beetle . The price of a kit was relatively low at £ 112 . About 300 copies were made of this model.

The T model was available from 1971 to 1972. It was a hot rod that resembled a Ford Model T. According to the advertisement, every engine between 1500 cc and 7000 cc could be used. A kit cost £ 225, a complete vehicle from £ 960. Only two copies were made.
