Karaman is a province of Turkey , with the capital of the same name Karaman and the district that occupies almost half of the province's territory. In addition, 77% of the provincial population is concentrated in this county.

The province, created in 1989, borders the province of Antalya in the southwest , Mersin in the south and Konya in the north .

Villages

The 158 villages have a total of 50,494 inhabitants, i.e. an average of 320 inhabitants per village. Most of the villages are located in the central district ( Merkez ), namely 93. They have a total of 27,551 inhabitants, which corresponds to a share of 54.5 percent. Of all the villages in the province, seven have more than 1,000 inhabitants. Kılbasan (1,646), Çakırbağ (1,596), Dumlugöze (1,558) and Civler (1,276 pop.) Are the largest of these.
