Oberpleichfeld is a municipality in the Lower Franconian district of Würzburg and a member of the Bergtheim administrative community .

geography

The community is located in the Würzburg region, about 13 kilometers northeast of the city. The Pleichach , a tributary of the Main , flows through the municipality and touches the place in the north.

There is only the Oberpleichfeld district and no other districts.

history

Until the church is planted

As part of the high pin Würzburg , which the Franconian Circle belonged Oberpleichfeld was 1,803 in favor of Bavaria secularized , then in the Peace of Pressburg (1805) Archduke Ferdinand of Tuscany left to form the Grand Duchy of Wurzburg, with which it finally came to Bayern 1814th In 1818 the political municipality was established.

The municipal council has 12 seats. In the local elections on March 15, 2020, 671 of the 894 residents eligible to vote in the municipality of Oberpleichfeld exercised their right to vote, bringing the turnout to 75.06%.
