Pressins is a French commune with 1,156 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Isère in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It belongs administratively to the Arrondissement La Tour-du-Pin and is part of the canton Chartreuse-Guiers (until 2015: canton Le Pont-de-Beauvoisin ). The inhabitants are called Pressinois .

geography

Pressins is about 23 kilometers west-southwest of Chambéry . Pressins is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Romagnieu in the north, Le Pont-de-Beauvoisin in the east, Saint-Jean-d'Avelanne in the south-east, Velanne in the south, La Bâtie-Divisin in the west and south-west and Les Abrets in the north-west.
