The Serie A teams of the 2005/06 season

The Serie A 2005/06 was the 74th season in the top Italian football -Spielklasse of Lords. It started on August 27, 2005 and ended on May 14, 2006. The Scudetto , the Italian championship title, was won by the record champions Juventus Turin . But after the soccer scandal was uncovered, the Scudetto was revoked and Juve was sentenced to relegation to Serie B. The actually runner-up AC Milan and AC Florence were also punished as participants in the scandal and deducted high points. Inter Milan were eventually awarded the league title, winning their 14th Scudetto , the first of five consecutive titles over the next few years.

In addition to Inter , AS Roma , AC Milan , AC Chievo Verona , US Palermo , AS Livorno and FC Parma also qualified for the international cup competitions . In addition to the relegated Juventus Turin, the US Lecce and FBC Treviso had to go to Serie B in a sporty way. The top scorer went to Luca Toni , who scored 31 goals for Fiorentina.
