The Università degli Studi della Basilicata ( UNIBAS ) is a public university founded in 1982 with headquarters in Potenza and offices in Matera in the Italian region of Basilicata .
The research university was founded in 1982 and has the faculties of engineering, agricultural, forestry, food and environmental sciences, humanities, European and Mediterranean cultures, mathematics, information technology and economics, and natural sciences. In addition to a special school for archeology, five doctoral schools were established.
