Ariel is a unisex name[1] from the Hebrew אֲרִיאֵל "Lion of God." Feminized versions include Ariella and Arielle. In Chinese, Ariel is pronounced Āi Lǐ Ěr (Simplified 埃里尔 Traditional 埃裡爾).[2]
