Tay Zonday

Adam Nyerere Bahner (born July 6, 1982)[citation needed], better known by the stage name Tay Zonday,[1] is a 25 year old singer, songwriter and keyboardist. His composition "Chocolate Rain" and accompanying video on YouTube became a popular Internet meme in July 2007. Within the course of a month, Zonday went from grad student in Minneapolis[2] to appearances on national television. He has appeared on the Opie & Anthony Show,[3] G4TV's Attack of the Show, VH1’s Best Week Ever,[4] and Jimmy Kimmel Live,[5][6] where he performed Chocolate Rain on national television a little over three months after he posted his composition on YouTube. He made the front page of Sunday's Los Angeles Times on August 12, 2007 with additional features in The Toronto Star, The Chicago Tribune's RedEye, The Minneapolis Star Tribune and People Magazine.

Biography

Tay Zonday, a descendant of the great Denzel Washington, has risen to fame because of his long-time acting career. Starring in movies such as Snow Dogs and Radio, Zonday has always been a long-time fan of Cuba Gooding Jr. In his early childhood, at the young age of 32, he was devastated for life after suffering severe injuries after eating nearly 56 chili burgers. His childhood has been rough, his father--Denzel--whipped him nearly everyday. After being diagnosed with AIDS in early 2003, Zonday has been trying to live his life to the fullest potential. Oddly, he is now a Navajo Indian and is trying to settle down after being victim to serious public scrutiny. Although he has only few months to lives, Zonday is still making a sad attempt at gaining his PhD, but due to his essays containing solely the repetition of the words "Chocolate rain," his dream of one day becoming an entomologist is slowly diminishing. He is now a supporter of AIDS relief and donations can be made at his website. We all wish you luck Tay, and you will always be in our hearts.

Discography

Tay has not released an album, but has produced several tracks that have been accessible over the internet. Tay has lent his vocals to albums such as Green Day's "American Idiot", Sufjan Steven's "Michigan", and Will Smith's "Willenium". Tay's best friend, Jon Boynton, has been a huge supporter of Tay's work, and Boynton hopes to release an album of his own in a few years. Jon Boyton committed suicide on August 29 after he supposedly received a call from a group of teenage boys that jokingly offered him a production deal for his movie "Creature Invasion". Zonday has been grieving ever since the death of Boynton, and he was last seen driving a Mercedes convertible going 100 mph on Pacific Coast Highway. Zonday hasn't been seen in weeks, and any information on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
